Praia do Tofo was historically a small fishing village which, due to its rich marine life and beautiful beaches has grown into a popular tourist destination.

Location
Tofo lies on the Indian Ocean coast in Inhambane Province in the South East of Mozambique. Located on the Ponto do Barra peninsula Tofo Beach is only 22 km from Inhambane city. Inhambane airport is a 20 minute drive from Tofo and there are flights most days from both Maputo International and Vilanculos International airports.
